Physical Therapy

Many patients require a rehab program involving physical therapy to resume an active lifestyle.

Physical therapy is available on site in our Hamilton office enabling Drs. Gowan, Zahn, Meeks, and Mannino to directly supervise and tailor a rehabilitation program to your specific needs. They work with the physical therapists for maximum benefit and improvement, to return you to your sport or activities of daily living.

We have five licensed physical therapists on staff, and a large selection of the newest equipment. Our spacious facility has a friendly, motivating atmosphere. All conventional modalities are offered, including heat, cryotherapy, electrical stimulation and phonophoresis, as well as ultrasound, mechanical traction, iontophoresis and TENS. Our therapists are trained in manual therapy techniques such as suboccipital release, massage and joint mobility techniques. Also, isokinetic testing is available for post-surgical patients.

In all cases, the goal is to restore optimum function following injury, surgery, or the worsening of a chronic ailment.

Full radiology capabilities are on site at all four locations, offering you the convenience of having your x-rays taken easily and quickly if necessary. If you have had any radiology exam (X-ray, MRI, CT, Bone Scan) done elsewhere for the problem we are seeing you for, please be sure to bring them with you to your appointment. We will digitize these images and store them on site for future reference. Your doctor will need to assess these images to properly evaluate your ailment.

Casting

Your doctor may treat your fracture with a cast. The doctor or physician assistant will apply the cast while you are here in our office and remove the cast when the fracture is healed.
